There is no event for 2018. Event registration and information for 2019 will be uploaded January 2019.SUPWhat's "SUP" ?!?
SUP stands for Stand Up Paddle board. Now you know "What's SUP" !! The Great Moose Migration is now hosting a SUP event. This event will take place the same day as The Great Moose Migration swim. The distance is approximately 11 miles and goes from the base of Arrow Rock Dam to the Lucky Peak Dam. Here's the deal, like the swim, this is an "event". A fun "event". Not a "race" or any qualifier for another event. This will be a several hour event and we want you to have a good, safe time. This is not officially timed and no prizes medals. (Only Finisher medals). We are hoping to meet up with SUPers of all sorts of abilities and levels. When is the "The Great Moose Migration"? Saturday August 5th, 2016. Start time will be 7:00 AM. Estimated time is 15 minutes per mile. How do I know this?!? Well, I read it on the internet so it has to be true, right ? While this is not a "race", for safety reasons we are capping the event at 7 hours. Who can participate? You must be 18 Y/O to participate in the full event. Anyone under 18 can participate with an additional signed youth waver. Other than that, anyone who thinks they are capable of rowing 11 miles in open water is allowed to partake. What are the costs? There will be a $55.00 cost for the 11 mile SUP. You can register on the ACTIVE.com site using the link on the registration page. Early Registration: 2/13/17 - 4/1/17 ($45 Base Price) Registration: 4/02/17 - 6/02/2017 ($55 Base Price) Late Registration: 6/03/16 - 7/14/17 ($75 Base Price) Register EARLY !!! It is really tough on an event when people pop in the late week or two. So if you do, you'll pay a premium. We don't want you to, so give us less, save you money and REGISTER EARLY !! Is there a party afterwards? Does a bear poop in the woods? There will be many people anticipated on showing up for the after SUP/swim party. Everyone not participating (Guests) are expected to bring their own food and drinks though. Food will be provided for the participants only. There will be multiple BBQ’s set up and fun for everyone. The end of the event will be past the first parking lot just after you cross the Lucky Peak dam. (Barclay Bay) Hopefully many show up to show support and have a good time hanging out with friends and having a late lunch. There will be a required briefing the night before. See more details on the "What to expect" page. What's included ? There will be a Dam to Dam (D2D) "The Great Moose Migration” shirt available for all participants.
